Christian Church Auction @ 6 p.m. & Lord’s Acre Supper @ 4:30 p.m., Sat., Nov. 2, Cairo, MO.

Jacksonville/Cairo Unity Christian Church Lord’s Acre Supper begins at 4:30 p.m with a full turkey meal, drink, dessert, and carry-outs available.  ($8 Adults, $3 children 5-12, under 5 free;  tickets may be purchased at the door or can be purchased in advance from any member of the Outreach Committee).

The event is held in the Cairo Christian Church Activity Center, Cairo, Missouri  (Cairo is 5 miles north of Moberly on US Hwy 63)  At the junction of Hwy 63 & Route Z, go west on Z a country block; at the 4-way stop go south (left) 1 block; turn west (right) and go 2 blocks to church.  Activity Center is kinda at the southwest side of the parking lot.  Just follow your nose for that great meal.

Col. James L. Johnston will again be selling their 12th Annual Charity Fund Auction that will begin about 6:00 p.m. with many great items to buy including but not limited to:

There is also two $100 Wal-Mart Gift cards for door prizes (have to be present to win) and a raffle for a new Kindle Fire HD tablet, a new Ruger 10/22 Takedown 22 long rifle, a $200 shopping spree, an Apple iPod Touch 4th Gen, and a new 32″ flat screen TV.

There will be a Silent Auction open from 4:30 – 6:45 only that will have children’s items; baked goods -cakes, pies, cookies etc.; craft items; and other items.

This church fund is used for support of Safe Passage (woman’s shelter); a Cairo High scholarship; sending youth to church camp; and the Unity Emergency Fund that helps families in our community for many needed things.
